Heyyy! It looks like you found my little corner of the internet. Since you're here, you’re probably wondering, “Who is this Josh guy, and why does he think he can help my business?”

I’m Josh — Christ follower, husband, dad, diehard Sacramento Kings fan, bedroom DJ, Star Wars nerd, and the guy behind Brane Advertising. I started this company for one reason: to help people uncover what makes them excited about their business…and then turn that excitement into marketing that actually feels alive.

Not fake. Not exaggerated. Not “corporate-safe.” Real.

I believe God gives every person, and every business, a unique purpose. Something honest. Something meaningful. My job is to dig that up, polish it off, and display it for the world in a way that’s fun, different, and impossible to keep your peepers off of.

Before I started Brane, I earned a marketing degree from Baylor University and worked on campaigns ranging from $200 experiments to major statewide programs for Caltrans, CAL FIRE, California ISO, and several counties across California. I’ve helped backyard businesses and government agencies alike. What I learned is that the size of the budget never mattered as much as the heart behind the message.

Here’s the part where I break from most marketers:

I don’t believe in playing it safe.

“Safe” campaigns (the beige ones, the predictable ones, the ones that look like every other ad in the feed) are actually the riskiest thing a business can do. When you blend in, you disappear.

So at Brane, we embrace the weird. The unexpected. The joyful. The different. Not to be loud for the sake of it, but to tell the truth in a way that makes people stop scrolling, lean in, and think, “Okay…now that’s interesting.”
